READY FOR YOUR EXAMINATION
We make use of different proctoring software for remote online examination supervision. Your examination programme makes use of QuestionMark as the examination platform and Proctorio as the online proctoring application.
View the instruction video opposite. In less than two minutes, we will take you through the instructions, step-by-step, to prepare you to take your online examination. You do not need your smartphone.
Take your time, and if you have any questions contact the service department of your exam programma. This way, we ensure you will receive the help you need.
With confidence towards your examination. This is why you will receive an e-mail invitation a few days in advance to do a system check. Do this well ahead of time. This way, we are assured that you will start your examination well-prepared. Be sure to use the same equipment you used to do the system check when you start your examination.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
LAPTOP OR DESKTOP
Additional devices, such as a second screen, computer or keyboard may not be used. Smartphones and tablets can only be used in addition to the computer if the examination requires this.
GOOGLE CHROME
Be sure you are using the most recent version of Google Chrome. You can install the proctoring extension by entering getproctorio.com in your browser. We use this application to establish a connection with your computer and to facilitate the exchange of screen content.
PHOTO AND PROOF OF IDENTITY
We must be able to identify you before you can take a valid examination. The proof of identity we accept are your student card, a passport, ID card or driving licence. Your name and photo must be clearly visible on the proof of identity. We recommend that you cover all irrelevant private details, such as student number or citizen service number (BSN).
STABLE INTERNET
You need a stable internet connection with an upload speed of 1 MB/second or higher. WiFi is possible, but directly connected to the cabling and secured is recommended. When a smartphone is required, you will need WiFi for mobile streaming.
VISIBLE
You must be alone and visible in a well-lit room. Be sure not to have any bright light shining from behind you. You must be observable at all times via the webcam and, optionally, via the smartphone. Be sure the cameras are focused on you.
SMARTPHONE OR TABLET
The use of your smartphone camera is optional. The examination programme specifies the applicable rules for this purpose. Your instructor knows whether this applies to you or not. Download the ProctorExam app (34 MB). The app is compatible with Android >v4.1 and iOS >v8.0. Check the operating system in your smartphone’s settings.
